This policy is written for Lumin's current operations as an Edmonton, Alberta marketing and content creation business. It is intended to support compliance with Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) where applicable, and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) for commercial electronic messages.

As a working guideline, unconverted lead-form information should be reviewed for deletion after 24 months unless there is a lawful reason to keep it longer, and client project records may be retained for commercial, accounting, portfolio, warranty, dispute, and legal record purposes.

Lumin should maintain an internal breach register and response process. If a privacy breach creates a real risk of significant harm or otherwise triggers a legal reporting requirement, Lumin will take reasonable steps to assess the incident and notify the appropriate regulator and affected individuals where required by applicable law.
